Design trade-offs
Why might a designer choose a human-shaped machine for some environments? Invite participants to compare that idea with wheeled or task-specific designs. Separate general engineering discussion from Ted’s agreed demonstration.

Humanoid robot demonstrations for Nassau County colleges
A humanoid robot on the screen is one thing. Ted in the room is a different starting point. EZ Robot Rentals brings, operates and demonstrates our Unitree R1 EDU for Nassau college event inquiries. Plan a faculty-hosted discussion, student club event or campus introduction that makes technology feel closer.

An engineering group may want to discuss design choices. An education group may explore how people explain new technology. A campus audience may simply be curious about what “humanoid” means. Tell us the actual audience and the questions you want to open. We will discuss an operator-led demonstration around an agreed scope, rather than advertise a technical workshop that your group did not ask for.
See. Ask. Imagine.

Use a visible robot to start questions about expectations, accessibility and responsible use. Ask what a person should know before judging a machine’s abilities from its appearance.
Have your group prepare a plain-language explanation of a humanoid robot. After observing Ted, refine the explanation using what was actually demonstrated—not assumptions about advertised or future features.
Share the course level, discussion goal and room contact. Identify whether this is a class visit or a separately approved campus event.
Include the staff adviser or event-approval contact, the proposed audience and the status of your room request.
Tell us whether the audience stays for one scheduled session or arrives during a broader program. We will review the format together.
Your practical planning tool
A concise brief helps the academic host and event team review the same proposal.
Operator-led. Planned with you.
Request a campus visit with the brief above. We agree the robot demonstration, venue arrangements and quote with the organizer before confirming a booking. This service does not provide programming instruction, SDK access, laboratory equipment access or a research partnership. If your project needs those things, tell us the scope so expectations are clear from the start.
Nassau Community College is in Garden City, Hofstra University is in Hempstead, and SUNY Old Westbury is in Old Westbury. Those are examples of Nassau’s varied campus settings, not client claims. Use your institution’s current maps and event procedures to identify the actual destination. EZ Robot Rentals is an independent business with no partnership or endorsement claimed from these institutions.
Before your visit
Yes. Share the organization, staff adviser or approval contact, audience and proposed venue. The college must approve its event and venue arrangements before a visit is confirmed.
Tell us the discussion goal and we will review an operated demonstration scope. The host decides the academic content; we do not promise course credit, curriculum approval or a particular technical capability.
No. The current offer is bringing, operating and demonstrating Ted. It does not include research supervision, programming access, dataset collection or permission to modify the robot.
No such relationship is claimed. The institution names provide factual local context only. Ask your own host to review the event under its procedures.
Send your Nassau campus, audience and proposed theme. Let’s explore a visit with a clear purpose and a practical route to approval.
